Hydrovac South Island is looking to hire multiple Class 2 or 4/5 Operator/Drivers to join our hard-working team of vacuum and jetting truck operators based in Christchurch. Full training provided.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The role is based in Canterbury Region, permanent full-time, with a salary package that includes competitive hourly rates starting from NZ$ 28 to NZ$ 32 per hour based on your license level and experience.
As an Operator - Driver, your role will be mainly operating HydroVac plant and trucks to service our customers in an efficient and safe manner and to complete duties as specified below. This includes yard duties and any other job/task required on a client’s site or base.
Maneuvering vehicles into positions; pre-starts and documentation; ensuring plant equipment/truck is under control, maintained and operated in a professional and safe manner, which may include water blasting and Hydro-flushing of pipes and pits, vacuum loading and suction of waste products contaminated & non-contaminated, safe disposal of waste products, clearance of pipe blockages & CCTV, hydro-excavation and air-excavation, stormwater maintenance, sewer/septic maintenance and grease trap/converter maintenance.
ABOUT YOU
You must have at least 1 year’s truck driving experience or a Class 2 or Class 4/5 NZ Driver’s License or overseas equivalent.
You must also have a positive attitude, and you are keen to learn. Bring your work ethic, and we will provide you with all the training and tickets you need to build a career at HydroVac.
