Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity
Downer holds four (4) Facilities Maintenance and Management Services Contracts with the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) for the provision of Facilities Maintenance and Management Services. Our Grounds teams play a key role in delivering services to our customer in a timely, safe, quality, and cost-effective manner. Our Grounds teams are responsible for the maintenance of camp/base grounds and delivery of grounds services to specification.
Duties for a ground's person include, but are not limited to:
- Mowing.
- Litter removal.
- Weed eating, Weeding and Weed/lichen spraying.
- Curb and gutter cleaning and maintenance; and
- Plant & equipment maintenance.
Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills
- Appropriate grounds industry experience.
- Experience with various types of machinery and equipment - tractors, mowers, vehicles, and small plant.
- Knowledge of the Health and Safety
- Be physically fit and conditioned and agile.
- Be a good communicator
- Class 1 Driver's License, HT licence and WTR an advantage
