Our Waste Collection branch in Wellington is looking for 5 drivers to join our team working to help make Wellington a cleaner, greener environment for all to enjoy.
In this role you'll be responsible for:
- Daily vehicle checks
- Driving & operating Rear load & Low Entry Vehicle trucks to collect refuse & recycling
- Yard and truck cleaning
- Adhering to high levels of health and safety standards and ensuring you take your necessary breaks according to NZTA logbook requirements
This is a permanent and full-time role, whilst hours can be dependent on Company needs and customer expectations generally you would be working a minimum guaranteed 45 hours between 6.00am - 6.00pm Monday to Friday. We offer $28-$31.61/hr depending on experience.
To be successful you will have…
- A clean Class 2 or 4 licence with 6 months truck driving experience in the waste industry.
- A sound understanding of Health & Safety and NZTA's Worktime and Logbook requirements
- Reasonable level of physical fitness and motivation to keep fit while your work
- Working knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety, and its importance.
