Our company is a fast-growing, privately-owned Geotechnical investigation company in Auckland. Due to recent fast-growing market, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Geotechnics team based in Auckland as one highly motivated Geotechnical Driller.
To be successful in this position, you will have a record illustrating a strong work ethic and the ability to deliver high-quality work. You will have a thorough understanding of CPT sampling methods and interesting in Drilling. Ground investigation using hand augering (hand operated equipment). You will also have competency in Microsoft Word and Excel, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
The work is varied and will involve:
*Hand auger drilling, and groundwater monitoring
*CPT testing, reporting, maintenance, and quality control
*Geotechnical field-testing and investigation
*Operation of heavy testing and soil sampling equipment
*Training and supervising by technicians
Requirements:
- A full New Zealand drivers' license is essential.
- A good level of physical fitness as the role also involves heavy lifting of machinery.
- Willingness to travel and work in different regions as required.
- Confident managing and building customer relationships.
- Good team player and personality
- Must be willing to get hands dirty and enjoy working outdoors.
- High standard and quality of paperwork
- Excellent time management skills
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- A desire to develop and share knowledge.

- Preferred with soil drilling experience.
