A little bit about us - We are the Transport Rebuild East Coast (TREC). This alliance has been set up to plan, organise and deliver much of the recovery and rebuild work needed on the highway and rail networks, together with local businesses and contractors across Te Tairāwhiti (Gisborne) and Te Matau a Māui (Hawke’s Bay).
Our alliance members include Waka Kotahi, KiwiRail, Downer, Fulton Hogan, and Higgins.
We are now looking for an experienced Foreperson to join the team in Gisborne. In this role you will organise, coordinate and direct construction activities in accordance with work schedules whilst constantly monitoring the status of planning, quality and safety of activities.
What we need from you:
- Trades qualification relevant to the Civil Construction industry.
- A minimum of five years civil construction industry experience and a proven history of previous supervisory/foreperson appointments.
- High energy and vigour in meeting targets and schedules.
- Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate diverse groups of employees.
- Current class 1 driver’s licence
- Work constructively as a member of the Alliance taking an active role in the Health and Safety function.
