Here's what you'll do…
As Postal Team Leader, you will be required to provide overall staff supervision and support for the day-to-day delivery performance, review and allocate run/mail, and staff changes needed to ensure mail delivery standards are maintained.
This is a Permanent, Full-time role, Monday to Friday, 4 pm to 12 am ( the role requires some flexibility as you could be finishing at a later time occasionally.)
The key accountabilities of the role will include but are not limited to the following:
- Ensure safety is the top priority in the workplace.
- Ensure training development is carried out for newly recruited staff as well as existing staff.
- Manage/deal with all issues about the local Core/Postal sort and delivery operation in a professional manner.
- Monitor and mentor your team, providing leadership and direction focusing on achieving 'premier' service for all customers.
- Ensure compliance with the company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a focus on continuous improvement regarding cost efficiency with a good grasp of KPIs and service deadlines
What we're looking for…
You will need to be a strong team player and be able to work under pressure. Can demonstrate a client-focused attitude, being a true ambassador for our brand. You will also need strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Furthermore, you are a self-motivated achiever who uses initiative and innovative ideas to grow and improve the business.
- Ability to lead the team in multi-tasking, prioritization, and meeting timelines on deliverables
- Hold a full Class 1 Drivers License
- Highly organized with strong time management skills
- Ability to resolve client/customer problems in a helpful, non-confrontational manner.
- Displays on ‘Hands-on’ attitude in a busy environment
- Has experience managing operational KPIs, and volume fluctuations
- Ability to communicate with a diverse range of people
- Flexible and adaptable relative to business requirements
- High regard for Health & Safety standards
