Our vehicle storage facilities are an integral part of our operations, ensuring the safekeeping and organisation of vehicles under our care.
The Role: We are currently seeking a dedicated Yard Man to join our team and oversee the daily operations of multiple vehicle storage yards within Auckland. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the security of the yards, the movement and storage of vehicles as part of our daily workflows, as well as maintaining the general cleanliness, presentation and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Perform regular audits of the vehicles in our yards to ensure the accuracy of our database and information systems.
- Inspection of yards as part of our Health and Safety initiatives to ensure that maintenance, presentation, cleanliness and maintenance issues are attended to.
- Regular audits of vehicle stored to ensure the accuracy or our reports and database.
- Assist with the movement and storage of vehicles using tow trucks and other equipment.
- Coordinate with dispatch and yard administrator to prioritise the handling of incoming and outgoing vehicles.
- Maintain security protocols to prevent theft or unauthorized access to the yard.
- Conduct routine maintenance on yard equipment and report any issues to management.
- Comply with HSWA regulations and company H&S policies at all times.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a similar role, preferably in an automotive or related environment.
- Familiarity with basic automotive maintenance and repair procedures.
- Ability to operate machinery and other yard equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record with a current F endorsement
